The Orange Dragstrip Reunion took place on September 8th 2012 at the Fitchburg Airport in Fitchburg, Ma. The interesting part about this event was the fact that it was not only a car show but a drag race as well. An 1/8 mile dragstrip was made from one of the runways of the airport. Different classes were competing all day, from Muscle to Stock to Modified and just outright purpose built dragsters. The resident sights and sounds of the day were various old cars blasting down the track as fast as they can, engines revving with no to little exhaust and lots of tire smoke and burnouts. If you’re a fan of muscle cars or just old cars in general this is something to check out in the future.
In regards to the pictures that are kind of gritty, it’s more than likely that those are the ones I took with my phone. My camera batteries die a lot. Haha. I decided to leave them anyway because even though they’re not the best quality they have almost a nostalgic feel to them. They have the texture of some pictures you might see when the majority of these cars made their debut. In light of that I hope you enjoy! Also, hopefully I can get a video up soon.
