For those of not familiar with Limerock Park, it’s a really cool racetrack in the middle of rural Connecticut. Just do a Google search and I’m sure you’ve seen it in some form or another, whether it be on Road & Track or a similar media outlet. They host a wide variety of race events and car shows as well as the home to a Skip Barber Racing School. But in this particular instance they held one of many amateur drifting events. This one was hosted by a group called Ready Set Drift. They hold other events in Pennsylvania as well. This was my first time attending an amateur drifting event as I had already attended Formula Drift in New Jersey.
It was rather unexpected to see an S12 at a drift event, let alone in general. You don’t see those very often.
Changed gears for a minute. (Pun intended.) The Skip Barber Racing School was going around the big track with their cars at the same time. I figured I would get a few shots of those too.
And back to drifting…
Seeing a Miata with googley eyes is one of the funniest things in the world. Add drifting and it makes it better!
