This is the first time I’ve ever been to Dubs on Defrost. I heard of the show a few times before I had gotten the chance or the timing right to actually attend. There was a meetup at the Basketball Hall of Fame before hand so everyone that knew each other could cruise in together. This also helped because I had never been to Lake Compounce either (where the event was held this time around). It was quite cold for April but it warmed up later in the day to be quite sunny. The drive there was interesting because people were taking rolling shots on the highway and we kind of in a huge convoy of euro cars; with the exception of the minivan I was driving.
I took a few shots in the parking lot before we left.
We parked in one of the overflow lots for the amusement park. And since it was April, no one was there anyway. As for the minivan in a post about euro cars, I thought it was funny. That was the aforementioned minivan “caravaning” with the euros. Up to that point I had seen quite a few “reflection” shots on various social media outlets of cars parked next to a puddle or a larger body of water. So I figured I would spoof it.
This lowered Chevy Diesel was pretty awesome!
The sticker is on the Mini is a play on the “Dapper” stickers. It’s always good when people understand the fads and trends that are happening within car culture. New things are created or even running jokes that make car culture what it is. And fun is all it should be.
The airbrushing on this Chrysler was really cool. Very detailed.
It is in my future to tune a Volvo.
People love to keep it interesting.
It seems a new take on the sticker bomb trend.
I will own a BMW 1-Series M one day!
Dangerous Toys
Now for a legitimate reflection shot next to the giant puddle.
I would love to own an Evo IV or V.
Function and Form all in one.
This was a whole new experience when it comes to car shows and a new look into the Euro scene. I guess I’ll have to make it down to H20i, Wolfgart and if there are any other surviving shows. I’ve been to Waterfest twice already and I will definitely go back in the future. Coverage coming soon!
