This is the first time I’ve ever been to a pro drift event. I’ve been to an amateur one at Limerock Park before. But this is completely different. It’s awesome how many people I got to meet over the course of the weekend that I thought I would never get the chance to. And to be up-close to all the tire shredding machines. Check it out!

Nate Hamilton.

Taka Aono.

So I’m pretty sure I told the driver of what is clearly a Toyota Chaser, ” nice Cefiro!”, as he drove past in the pits… Which I later realized it wasn’t. Oops… I’m pretty sure he didn’t hear me with all his gear on and the car running. At least I hope he didn’t… It was still awesome to see a Chaser in person.

I got to meet the Hankook girls: Sadie May, Erica Nagashima, and Jess Harbour!

Brad Heyl.

Karl “Wasabi” Osaki.

Danny George.

Matt Coffman.

“Rapper” Dan Savage.

Ryan Kado.

Patrick Mordaunt.

Brandon Wicknick.

Miro Ovcharik.

James Evans.

Jonathan Castro with cameo by Ryan Tuerck.

Jeff Jones.

The angriest fender-roller I’ve ever seen! Haha.

Doing work on Juha Rintanen’s S14.

I checked out this awesome AE86 at the All Things Proper booth. Check them out on social media! More on this 86 in a future post.

Pre-run checks on Dean Kearney’s car.

Miss Gina Darling, Natalie Paladin and Eva Skye!

Chelsea Denofa getting close to the wall.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. leaving a cloud of smoke and shredding tires.

The first time I’d ever heard of or seen an RTR Mustang in person. RTR stands for ‘Ready to Rock’.

I checked out the Falken booth and got to meet the Falken models!

Dai Yoshihara and Justin Pawlak.

Ryan Tuerck and Matt Field going sideways.

It was cool talking with you, Arianna, at the Get Nuts Lab booth!

Chelsea Denofa and Pat Goodin.

Jessica Hien!

Michael Essa.

Forrest Wang from Get Nuts Lab.

Justin Pawlak.

Dai Yoshihara getting sideways.

Went to say to hi to the Achilles models.

And then checked out Daigo Saito’s car.

Went by the Flipzco booth. I’ve seen the their cool apparel at various shows that I’ve been to.

A cool, slammed Cressida I saw in the parking lot.

In line waiting to get autographs signed.

Frederic Aasbo and Charles NG.

Dave Briggs.

Tony Angelo.

Some burnout pit action with Conrad Grunewald.

Toasty.

Mats Baribeau.

Daigo Saito and Ryan Tuerck.

Pat Goodin.

Tyler Mcquarrie.

Kyle Mohan.

We got a chance to walk the track before the demonstration started.

Apparently this one of the most challenging courses. After walking it I understand why. The only tracks I’ve walked on thus far are Riverside (what is now, disappointingly, the Six Flags water park), Limerock Park, Stafford Motor Speedway and (this one) Wall Speedway.

From left to right: Forrest Wang, Justin Pawlak, Dai Yoshihara, Dmac.

Aurimus Bakchis, “Odi”.

Chris Forsberg.

Ryan Tuerck.

Vaughn Gittin Jr.

Just a little smoke demonstration for the fans before the final battles began.

More burnouts!

Frederic Aasbo won first place against Chris Forseberg in his RWD Scion TC built by Papadakis Racing.

I took a final walk-around the pits and the track before heading back to the hotel. The last shot I took was of Dmac’s s14 with the remnant tire smoke coming of the track still hanging in the air.

Thanks for checking out my post. Let me know what you think!
