This was the second iteration of Field Werks Annual Car Show. It, again, was held at the Elks Lodge in Ludlow, Ma but a little earlier than last year on September 15th instead of in October. All makes and models were welcome as it has always been a chill environment since the first show last year. They had awards for Best in Show, Best Air-Cooled, Best Water-Cooled, Best Accessories, Best Non-Euro and Peoples Choice. New this year were the Car Limbo and Skate Limbo, in addition to last year’s events: the Slam Bike Raffle and 50/ 50 Raffle. There were of course vendors and beer and food were being sold on site. Unfortunately the beer got shut down because someone went too far out in the lot but that seemed to be the only issue with the day. I also wasn’t able to get my car to this one, but my brother brought his and it was still a great day!

This was the first show I got to use my new camera so it took a bit to try to figure the settings and play around with it. As I do at every event I try to experiment and do something I didn’t do at the previous ones. Whether that is a different angle, focus on a different part of the car or whatever that may be. I feel like this camera allowed me to further that. Onto the show!

Those slammed bikes for the raffle!

Slam it any way you can!

Awesome looking Evo.

Bring it big or small.

Cool shot I got with a friend’s dog.

I really like this Z.

Rocking a drift trike.

I really like these Proteges. Unfortunately Mazda does not make them anymore. I’ve got the generation before. They got replaced by the Mazda3. But they sure went out with a bang with the Mazdaspeed.

That’s a really clean S2000.

This is definitely something you don’t see every day. That fender flare you see is on a Ford Taurus with Corvette saw blade wheels.

Thanks for posing for the shot!

Thanks to James for the aerial shots!

I Made This Vinyl booth. Be sure to check out their Etsy shop.

Pretty cool dude to talk to and he had some pretty awesome shirts as well!

Classic Rotary Power!

Glad to see this S14 out after so long! It’s all one color now too!

I honestly think this is the best shot I got at the show.

This came out really well for some reason, in terms of the definition of the rust.

I really like Silvia’s quite a lot.

One of the new events this year, as I mentioned above is the skate limbo.

First try.

Second try.

My brother killing it and perfecting his technique.

Not so lucky.

That had to be tricky, especially keeping balance.

I’m really surprised this kid didn’t win. He ended up sticking his back up too high.

And the winning shot! My brother got a skate deck out of it, which was pretty awesome. There’s a picture of him holding it floating around on Instagram somewhere.

Onto the the Car limbo!

Kenny’s MR2 being made lower.

That Thing kind of had the unfair advantage of a fold-down windshield but it was still pretty awesome watching everyone go under.

This kid was hilarious.

It was great meeting up with friends and seeing the progress on their cars or if they didn’t bring them (myself included) just hanging out and enjoying the show. Thanks to the Field Werks crew for putting on a great show. It’s at shows like these that you get to see such a variety and cool mix of cars with no telling what will show up. As always, it’s great meeting new people and seeing something just a little different. Can’t wait until next year!

Don’t forget to check me out on Instagram @ distancephotography! Thanks!
